Access to 240V charging at home is one of the largest contributing factors to a successful transition to electric cars.
The Quebec government, some municipalities and even some companies have understood this concept. To that effect, numerous subsidy programs exist to encourage the purchase and installation of residential charging stations, no matter the building.
NOTE: these rebates ARE NOT TAXABLE for individuals.

Installing a residential charging station makes charging an EV as easy and convenient as charging any rechargeable device. However, in most cases, it requires changes to the building's electrical system which must be done by professionals.
But for the savvy homeowner, this building upgrade is an investment that can increase the property’s value, as plug-in vehicles become the norm. In fact, new buildings are already planning electrical installations to that effect.
Ultimately, this type of installation in buildings will benefit all future owners or tenants.
